Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline of mortgage applications from submission to completion, ensuring all necessary documentation is gathered and accurate.
  • Liaise proactively with clients, mortgage advisers, lenders, and solicitors to ensure a smooth and timely application process.
  • Submit mortgage applications to various lenders, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Address and resolve queries or issues that arise during the application process, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the company's CRM system and other relevant platforms.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with all parties involved to monitor progress and provide updates.
  • Assist in the preparation of client suitability reports and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Stay informed about current mortgage market conditions, lender criteria, and regulatory changes (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and client service standards.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2.5 years experience in mortgage administration or processing within the UK market.
  • Proficient understanding of the end-to-end mortgage application process.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations and adherence to compliance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CEMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification, or working towards it.
  • Experience with various mortgage sourcing systems and lender portals.
  • Previous experience working in a remote or hybrid role.
