Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for network-related incidents and problems.
- Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Implement and verify network changes according to established procedures and change management protocols.
- Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., security, server, application) to resolve complex, cross-functional issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and incident reports.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network infrastructure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recommending enhancements to network tools, processes, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network support or engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).
- Proficiency with enterprise-grade networking hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or HP Aruba.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, FortiGate, Check Point).
- Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN) and remote access solutions.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking platforms (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud Networking).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for network automation.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
