Working entirely remotely, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our diverse infrastructure. This includes managing servers (Windows and Linux), cloud services (primarily AWS and Azure), network components, and various applications vital to our business operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server infrastructure (physical, virtual, and cloud-based) to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
  • Administer and support core operating systems, primarily Windows Server and various Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources within AWS and Azure environments, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, network configurations, and identity management.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including patching, vulnerability management, access controls, firewall configurations, and incident response.
  • Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and resolution for complex IT infrastructure issues, participating in on-call rotations as required.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various internal systems and SaaS applications.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and other IT teams on infrastructure projects, deployments, and system integrations.
  • Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure scalability and responsiveness of platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an IT Administrator, Systems Administrator, or Platform Administrator role.
  • Strong proficiency in administering Windows Server operating systems (2016+).
  • Solid experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Demonstrable experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
