Job Description

As a Remote Procurement Assistant at Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in supporting our client’s procurement operations from your home office. You will work closely with procurement managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory levels, track orders, and resolve supply chain issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into accurate and timely purchase orders.
  • Communicate professionally with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor order status, track shipments, and proactively resolve any discrepancies or delays with vendors.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive vendor information, product catalogs, and procurement records in relevant systems.
  • Assist in conducting market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing.
  • Prepare detailed procurement reports, analyze spending patterns, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
  • Support the resolution of invoicing and payment issues in coordination with the finance department.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Procurement Assistant, Purchasing Assistant, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental procurement processes, policies, and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data analysis, formulas), Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective vendor and internal stakeholder interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team environment.
  • High level of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or dedicated procurement software systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Familiarity with basic contract negotiation principles and vendor relationship management best practices.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., C.P.M., CPSM) is a plus.
