Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Product Manager to join our innovative team. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working from anywhere within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates based in the Wichita, Kansas area for occasional in-person collaboration, as needed. As a Remote Product Manager at Koch Industries, you will be instrumental in defining, developing, and launching cutting-edge products and services that drive value for our diverse businesses and customers. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, responsible for the entire product lifecycle from ideation and strategy through to execution and post-launch optimization.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing complex software or digital products, preferably within a large, diversified organization. You will be expected to conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and gather user insights to identify unmet needs and opportunities. Translating these insights into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria will be a core responsibility. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. Strong communication skills are paramount, as you will be presenting product roadmaps, strategies, and performance metrics to various stakeholders, including senior leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities and define product requirements.
- Translate high-level concepts into detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on strategic importance, customer value, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, UX/UI design, and other stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Manage the product backlog, planning sprints, and overseeing the execution of the product roadmap.
- Monitor product performance using key metrics, analyze data, and iterate on products to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate product updates, release plans, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead product launch activities, working with marketing and sales to ensure successful adoption.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with digital or software products.
- Proven experience delivering successful products from conception to launch.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!).
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience working within a large, diversified industrial or technology conglomerate.
- Familiarity with data analytics platforms and A/B testing methodologies.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
- Experience with enterprise-level software solutions or B2B products.
