Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread various types of content, including marketing materials, reports, articles, web content, and internal communications, for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation, and syntax.
- Ensure strict adherence to specific client style guides, brand voice, and company editorial standards (e.g., APA, Chicago, AP).
- Verify factual accuracy, consistency in terminology, formatting, and overall readability.
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to clarify content ambiguities and suggest improvements.
- Manage multiple proofreading projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize proofreading marks and annotation tools effectively for clear communication of edits.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current language trends and industry best practices in proofreading.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
- Proven ability to identify and correct errors in various content formats.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for inconsistencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Docs.
