Job Description

Are you an eagle-eyed wordsmith with an unwavering commitment to perfection? Do you possess an innate ability to spot typos, grammatical errors, and stylistic inconsistencies that others often miss? Aberdein Considine, a prominent name in Scotland’s legal, property, and financial services sectors, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Remote Proofreading Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a crucial role for someone passionate about ensuring the highest standards of written communication across all our output, guaranteeing that every piece of content reflects the professionalism and expertise our clients expect.

In an environment where precision is paramount, your keen eye will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and professionalism of our diverse range of documents. From intricate legal contracts and property sales brochures to compelling marketing collateral, vital client communications, internal reports, and website content, you will be the final guardian of our written word. Your daily tasks will involve more than just correcting errors; you’ll be ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to our established brand voice and house style guides. You will work remotely, collaborating closely with various departments, including legal, property, marketing, and finance, to review and refine content, ensuring it is not only grammatically flawless and free of spelling errors but also consistent with our brand identity, legal compliance standards, and overall strategic messaging.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute significantly to our operations from the comfort and convenience of your home office. While your primary base will be remote, we value individuals who can integrate seamlessly into a collaborative team environment, even virtually, by utilizing modern communication tools and platforms. We are looking for a highly organized, self-starter who thrives on detail, possesses excellent time management skills, and can handle a diverse workload with discretion, confidentiality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional setting. If you are eager to apply your exceptional linguistic skills to a challenging and rewarding role within a respected and rapidly evolving firm, and you are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality from afar, we encourage you to apply. Join Aberdein Considine and play a vital role in ensuring all our communications are as precise, professional, and impactful as the expert advice and services we provide.
