Kollective Technology is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Remote Quality Assurance Analyst to join our distributed team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features across our product suite.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Accurately identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring clear reproducibility steps and impact analysis.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements, define test strategies, and provide timely feedback.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings, contributing insights from a quality assurance perspective.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Validate bug fixes and ensure that they do not introduce new issues (regression testing).
- Monitor product performance and provide input on scalability and load testing strategies.
- Stay current with industry best practices in software quality assurance and testing.
- Provide clear and concise status updates on testing progress and defect metrics to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in designing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and test management tools.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for a remote team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible work schedule.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and client-server architectures.
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Experience testing large-scale distributed systems or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
