Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into reported incidents of fraud, abuse, and other policy violations across Amazon's various platforms and services.
- Utilize a wide array of investigative tools, data analysis techniques, and open-source intelligence to gather evidence, identify patterns, and uncover root causes.
- Develop detailed investigation plans, interview relevant parties (where appropriate and necessary), and meticulously document findings in comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, security, human resources, and operations teams, to ensure effective resolution and preventative measures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines throughout the investigative process.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely updates on case statuses and findings to management and relevant teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and policies.
- Stay informed on emerging fraud trends, investigative best practices, and relevant regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk investigation, fraud analysis, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct complex, data-driven investigations independently.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw logical conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear and concise investigative reports.
- Proficiency in using investigative software, databases, and analytical tools.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple investigations concurrently with varying deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a remote and autonomous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL or other data querying languages for complex data analysis.
- Certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar.
- Familiarity with e-commerce operations, payment systems, or digital risk management.
