Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Security Operations Partner to join our UK team. This pivotal role involves overseeing and enhancing the security posture of our clients’ and Capgemini’s internal operations from a remote setting. As a Security Operations Partner, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring robust defence against evolving cyber threats. You will leverage your expertise in incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture to provide strategic guidance and operational excellence. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the current cybersecurity landscape, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders remotely. You will be responsible for driving security initiatives, responding to incidents, and acting as a trusted advisor to ensure our security measures are effective, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Your day-to-day will involve monitoring security systems, analysing threats, coordinating responses to incidents, and continually refining our security processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage security incident response activities, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
- Oversee the operation and optimisation of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and other security tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Provide expert security guidance and consultation to internal teams and external clients on various security topics, including cloud security, network security, and data protection.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, recommending proactive measures to enhance our security posture.
- Participate in security audits, compliance reviews, and provide necessary documentation and evidence.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security into the entire lifecycle of projects and operations.
- Mentor junior security analysts and contribute to the continuous development of the security operations team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in Security Operations (SOC/SecOps) or similar cybersecurity roles.
- Proven expertise in security incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm) and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
- In-depth understanding of cloud security principles and experience with major cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Solid knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, CEH, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a consulting environment, advising multiple clients on security best practices.
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with advanced persistent threats (APTs) and advanced forensic techniques.
- Familiarity with various security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ITIL, COBIT.
