Cognition Digital is seeking a talented and imaginative Remote Social Media Reel Scriptwriter to join our dynamic content team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and writing compelling scripts for engaging social media reels across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Key Responsibilities
- Develop original, creative, and engaging script concepts for social media reels (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels) that align with client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Write concise, impactful, and platform-optimized scripts, including dialogue, on-screen text, visual cues, and call-to-actions, designed for maximum engagement.
- Conduct thorough research on current social media trends, viral sounds, challenges, and cultural phenomena to inform script development.
- Collaborate closely with social media strategists, content creators, and video editors to ensure scripts are feasible, production-ready, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Iterate and refine scripts based on feedback from internal teams and clients, maintaining flexibility and a problem-solving approach.
- Maintain a deep understanding of each platform’s unique requirements, limitations, and best practices for short-form video content.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and campaigns.
- Ensure all written content is grammatically correct, error-free, and adheres to brand tone of voice.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a scriptwriter, content creator, or copywriter with a strong portfolio of social media-focused work, especially short-form video.
- Exceptional storytelling abilities and the skill to distill complex messages into engaging, concise narratives.
- Deep understanding of current social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
