Key Responsibilities

  • Define and relentlessly communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with overarching business objectives and specific client needs.
  • Manage, refine, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring all stories are meticulously defined, accurately estimable, and fully ready for development sprints.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed user stories, comprehensive acceptance criteria, and precise technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely and consistently with engineering teams, UX/UI designers, and other key stakeholders throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related queries and crucial decisions, ensuring absolute alignment across all involved teams.
  • Facilitate and lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor product performance, rigorously gather user feedback, and iterate on solutions to continuously enhance user experience and maximize business value.
  • Conduct thorough market research, incisive competitor analysis, and detailed user research to identify new opportunities and inform product development decisions.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and communicate product updates, progress, and any challenges effectively and transparently.
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry standards, stringent security protocols, and essential accessibility guidelines for all product deliverables.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Software Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in an agile environment.
  • Strong, demonstrable understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in creating clear, concise user stories, use cases, and comprehensive acceptance criteria.
  • Hands-on experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple complex projects concurrently, and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Fundamental understanding of user experience (UX) principles and design thinking methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification.
  • Extensive experience working with remote or highly distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Background in IT consulting or working with multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
