Job Description

Lowe’s is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Software QA Reviewer to join our dynamic technology team. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in our software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly applications that power our retail operations and enhance customer experiences. As a Remote Software QA Reviewer, you will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying, documenting, and tracking software bugs, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals. Your expertise will directly contribute to the integrity and performance of Lowe’s digital products, from e-commerce platforms to in-store associate tools. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing software features across various platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other QA professionals to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, usability, and user acceptance testing.
  • Communicate test results, progress, and risks effectively and clearly to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in review meetings for requirements, design, and test strategy, providing valuable input from a QA perspective.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Verify defect fixes and ensure they do not introduce new issues or regressions.
  • Work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate test documentation and reports.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related technical field.
  • Proven ability to create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various QA methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
  • Proficiency in test management tools for organizing and reporting test efforts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting, demonstrating self-discipline and initiative.
  • Familiarity with various testing types and techniques including black-box and white-box testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with retail or e-commerce platforms and their unique testing challenges.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • ISTQB certification or similar professional QA certification.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and data integrity checks.
  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
