Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing complex, end-to-end technology solutions that meet our clients’ evolving business needs. As a Solutions Architect at Dell Technologies, you will be responsible for translating intricate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technical architectures leveraging Dell’s extensive portfolio of products and services, including servers, storage, networking, cloud solutions, and software. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating closely with sales teams, engineering, product development, and directly with customers to understand their challenges and architect optimal solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, data management, and cybersecurity best practices. You will lead technical discussions, conduct workshops, create architectural blueprints, and ensure proposed solutions align with industry standards and Dell’s strategic vision. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences will be critical to your success. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery, analysis, and solution design phases for complex customer projects, identifying business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Architect comprehensive, integrated solutions utilizing Dell Technologies' portfolio (servers, storage, networking, data protection, cloud, software, security) and third-party technologies.
- Develop detailed architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical proposals to articulate proposed solutions and their benefits.
- Act as a subject matter expert for key technologies and solution areas, providing technical guidance to sales teams, partners, and customers.
- Conduct technical presentations and workshops for customers and internal teams, effectively communicating solution value and technical intricacies.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence future product development.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to ensure Dell Technologies solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and technical sales professionals.
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security best practices, compliance standards, and performance requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, or technical consulting roles.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networking).
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in data center technologies, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
