Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective one-to-one online study coaching sessions to students across various subjects and age groups.
- Assess individual student needs and collaboratively develop personalised study plans and academic goals.
- Guide students on effective revision strategies, exam techniques, time management, and organisation skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to foster student confidence, motivation, and self-efficacy.
- Utilise MyTutor's online platform tools (virtual whiteboard, document sharing, video conferencing) effectively to create an interactive learning environment.
- Maintain open and professional communication with students and, where appropriate, their parents/guardians regarding progress and areas for development.
- Adapt coaching methods and resources to suit diverse learning styles, academic levels, and individual student challenges.
- Stay informed about relevant UK curriculum changes (GCSE, A-Level) and educational best practices.
- Adhere strictly to MyTutor's safeguarding policies and professional conduct guidelines to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent academic background (e.g., strong A-Levels or equivalent in subjects you wish to coach)
- Demonstrable passion for education and a genuine desire to help young people succeed
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with students
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, essential for remote work and lesson planning
