Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain server infrastructure (Windows, Linux) both on-premise and cloud-based (AWS, Azure).
- Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and wireless access points.
- Implement and enforce security policies, perform regular security audits, and manage endpoint security solutions.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Manage virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Oversee data backup and disaster recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to end-users for complex IT issues.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately and comprehensively.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system incidents and provide timely resolution.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system efficiency, security, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including IaaS and PaaS services
- Demonstrable knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security principles
- Scripting expertise with PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
