Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior UX researchers in planning and executing various research activities, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
- Support the creation of research plans, discussion guides, screeners, and other research artifacts.
- Aid in the recruitment and scheduling of research participants, ensuring diverse and relevant user representation.
- Take detailed notes during research sessions and assist with data synthesis and analysis.
- Contribute to the development of research findings presentations, reports, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to integrate user insights into the product development process.
- Maintain and organize research data, tools, and resources.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research and design.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated strong interest and foundational understanding of User Experience (UX) principles and research methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an acute attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides) for creating compelling visual reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- High degree of empathy and curiosity about user behavior and motivations.
- Basic familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Anthropology, Sociology, Design, or a related field.
- Previous internship or project experience in UX research, market research, or a related area (academic projects welcome).
- Familiarity with UX research tools (e.g., Dovetail, UserTesting, Qualtrics, Figma for prototypes).
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts for data interpretation.
- A portfolio showcasing academic projects, case studies, or personal work demonstrating research interest and analytical skills.
