Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote UX Research Partner to join our dynamic and growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving user-centred design decisions across a diverse portfolio of client projects, ranging from large-scale enterprise solutions to innovative consumer-facing applications. As a Remote UX Research Partner, you will champion the voice of the user, conducting comprehensive research activities to uncover insights that inform product strategy, design, and development. This is a unique opportunity to work flexibly from your home base in Walton-on-Thames, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams located across the UK and globally. You will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, and analysing user research using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive user research studies, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, card sorting, and contextual inquiries.
  • Synthesise research findings into clear, compelling, and actionable insights that inform product strategy and design decisions for various client projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on user experience best practices and research methodologies.
  • Create and present research plans, findings, and recommendations to project teams, clients, and senior leadership through engaging presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, business analysts, and developers to integrate user insights throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Champion user-centred design principles and research methodologies across the organisation, contributing to the continuous improvement of our research practices.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to building a strong culture of user empathy and understanding within project teams.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 6 years) in UX research, preferably within a consulting environment or large enterprise.
  • Expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.
  • Strong ability to translate complex research data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency with research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, and Figma for prototyping.
  • Demonstrable experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your research process, methods, and impact on product outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Experience with remote research tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies.
  • Prior experience working with global teams and diverse cultural contexts.
