Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data validation rules, processes, and frameworks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Perform rigorous data analysis and quality checks on large datasets from various internal and external sources.
- Identify, investigate, and document data discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies, proposing solutions for remediation.
- Create, maintain, and automate detailed validation reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to understand data requirements and ensure reports meet business needs and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data validation processes, rules, and reporting methodologies.
- Provide expert insights and recommendations on improving data quality, data governance, and reporting efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in data validation, quality assurance, and reporting tools.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
- Strong understanding of data validation techniques and methodologies
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment
- Proven experience in creating comprehensive data validation reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
- Experience in the telecommunications or financial services industry
- Familiarity with data governance principles and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, local data protection laws)
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Certifications in data analytics, data quality, or relevant BI tools
