Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee the daily operations of the residential unit, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice guidelines at all times.
- Manage medication administration and documentation, adhering to strict protocols.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care and resident safety.
- Assist with staff scheduling, rostering, and allocation of duties to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and challenging situations, providing calm and decisive leadership.
- Facilitate and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and other administrative documentation.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and staff, encouraging engagement and respect.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a residential care setting.
- Demonstrable leadership potential and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing care plans.
- Sound understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding adults.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care.
- Previous experience in a senior care assistant or team leader role.
