Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Part-Time Residential Caretaker Assistant to join our property management team in Madungu, Chake Chake. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and pristine condition of our residential properties, contributing significantly to the comfort and safety of our residents. As a Residential Caretaker Assistant, you will be the eyes and ears on the ground, responsible for general upkeep, minor repairs, and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will work closely with residents and the property management team, addressing immediate needs and escalating larger issues as required. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine checks and inspections of residential common areas and property grounds to identify maintenance needs, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and addressing basic electrical or plumbing issues.
- Assist residents with inquiries, provide support for minor issues, and act as a first point of contact for property-related concerns, escalating complex problems to senior management.
- Maintain cleanliness of shared facilities, entrances, pathways, and outdoor areas, ensuring a tidy and appealing environment for all residents.
- Monitor security systems, ensure gates and access points are secure, and report any suspicious activities or breaches to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage and organize inventory of cleaning supplies and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Support landscaping and gardening efforts by watering plants, clearing debris, and assisting with general grounds maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to required standards.
- Prepare vacant units for new residents by conducting thorough inspections, cleaning, and ensuring all fixtures and appliances are in working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe living and working environment for residents and staff.
