Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the comprehensive security officer training program.
- Shadow and learn from experienced security officers during daily patrols and operations.
- Assist in conducting regular patrols of residential properties, ensuring the security and safety of premises and residents.
- Learn to effectively monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activities or breaches.
- Understand and practice proper access control procedures for visitors, residents, and contractors.
- Learn to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fires, and security threats.
- Practice documenting incidents thoroughly and accurately, preparing detailed reports for review.
- Develop strong communication skills for interacting professionally with residents, visitors, and emergency services.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and provincial security regulations.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness at all times.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to obtain a valid Quebec Security Guard License (training provided).
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, walking for extended periods, and occasional lifting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred for patrol duties).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingualism (English and French).
- Prior customer service experience.
