Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures as needed.
  • Provide comprehensive and personalized information about local attractions, dining, transportation, and events in May Pen and the surrounding Clarendon Parish.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with reservations for tours, restaurant bookings, transportation, and other services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and promotional offerings.
  • Manage a comprehensive directory of local services, amenities, and points of interest.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Desk, F&B) to fulfill guest needs.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and messages for guests.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized concierge desk/lobby area.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful gestures and personalized service.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including data entry and report generation.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of May Pen and Clarendon Parish attractions, dining, and local culture.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • A positive, professional demeanor and a genuine passion for guest service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French).
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Proven track record of anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
