Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, weeding, watering, pruning, and trimming of plants, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintain all garden beds, flower arrangements, and ornamental plants to the highest aesthetic standards.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment safely and efficiently, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
- Ensure irrigation systems are functioning optimally, performing regular checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Monitor plant health, identify common diseases or pests, and apply appropriate, environmentally friendly treatments.
- Keep all pathways, driveways, outdoor guest areas, and common grounds clean, clear, and safe from debris.
- Assist with seasonal planting, landscaping projects, and the establishment of new garden features.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling in outdoor areas, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to environmental guidelines.
- Report any structural damage, safety hazards, or major maintenance issues observed on the resort grounds promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all resort safety regulations and operational standards at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in professional landscaping or groundskeeping, preferably within a resort, hotel, or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant care, soil management, and basic pest control techniques.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, in diverse weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high standards of aesthetic presentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping, Agriculture, or a related field.
