Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding lawns and garden beds.
- Plant, water, fertilize, prune, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to ensure healthy growth and attractive appearance.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools, ensuring their proper and safe use.
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal plant health and water conservation.
- Keep resort grounds, pathways, and common areas free of litter, debris, and hazards at all times.
- Assist with pest and disease control measures for plants and turf, utilizing environmentally friendly methods where possible.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on outdoor fixtures, garden furniture, and pathways to maintain aesthetics and safety.
- Implement seasonal landscape enhancements and participate in special projects to improve the resort's overall aesthetic appeal.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, reporting any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to management.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1.5 years) in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture.
- Proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, including pruning techniques, watering requirements, and pest identification.
- Ability to perform physical labor, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship in all tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in horticulture or landscape maintenance.
