Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, and portioning ingredients as directed by kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and walk-in refrigerators, sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage recycling, ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed.
- Restock clean dishes, glassware, and cutlery in appropriate areas, ensuring readiness for service.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, verifying contents against invoices and organizing stock.
- Support line cooks and chefs with various tasks to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas as needed.
