Early Bird Espresso & Brew Bar in Queen West, Toronto, is looking for a Restaurant Barista Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of a bustling cafe environment and contribute to a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist baristas with drink preparation, including grinding coffee, steaming milk, and maintaining a clean and organized coffee station.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe, including customer seating areas, restrooms, and outdoor patios.
- Wash dishes, clean utensils, and ensure all equipment (e.g., blenders, blenders, coffee machines) is well-maintained.
- Restock all supplies, including coffee beans, milk, cups, lids, pastries, and other food items.
- Greet customers warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately, and process payments using our POS system.
- Prepare and plate simple food items such as toast, sandwiches, and salads according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring the cafe is ready for service or securely closed down.
- Actively contribute to a positive and efficient workflow, collaborating effectively with all team members.
- Learn and adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
