Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards set by the hotel.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Monitor food stock and manage inventory, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs and other cooks, to ensure smooth service.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating local ingredients and customer preferences.
- Handle special dietary requests and allergies with care and precision.
- Contribute to a positive and productive kitchen environment through teamwork and effective communication.
- Ensure timely and efficient preparation of all food items during service hours.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Sound knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
