Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport food orders from restaurants to customers' designated locations.
- Verify order accuracy and quality before departing from the restaurant.
- Handle payments and process transactions accurately, including cash and card payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every interaction, ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant staff, customers, and dispatch team regarding delivery status.
- Manage delivery routes and schedules efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks during downtime, as required by the partner restaurant.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 6 months of professional driving or delivery experience
- Strong geographical knowledge of Alice Springs and surrounding areas
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable personal vehicle (if applicable) with valid registration and insurance, or ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Basic numeracy for handling transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with food delivery platforms or restaurant delivery services.
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation software.
