Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing machinery efficiently and safely, including loading, unloading, and organizing dishes, silverware, and glassware.
- Hand wash specific items such as pots, pans, and delicate kitchen tools, ensuring thorough cleanliness.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and equipment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed, such as washing vegetables, peeling, or organizing supplies, under supervision.
- Monitor dish machine temperatures and chemical levels to ensure proper sanitation standards are consistently met.
- Properly store clean dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment in designated areas to maintain organization and accessibility.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen area and dining spaces, ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal.
- Adhere strictly to all internal health and safety regulations, company policies, and food handling best practices.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and facilities staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dish flow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety hazards to management promptly to ensure swift resolution.
- Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance at all times, adhering to uniform and hygiene standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) comfortably.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility are absolutely essential.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation principles.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar kitchen support role within a corporate or restaurant setting.

- Possession of a valid Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one upon hiring).
