Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and meats as directed.
- Portion and organize ingredients according to recipes and station needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
- Support the kitchen team with various tasks, including receiving and storing deliveries, and basic dishwashing.
- Learn and practice proper knife handling techniques and other essential kitchen skills.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen managers diligently.
Required Skills
- No prior professional kitchen experience required; eagerness to learn is paramount.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (or willingness to learn immediately).
