Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon their arrival at the restaurant.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently, ensuring fair and timely seating.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and provide initial information about daily specials.
- Answer incoming calls, take reservations accurately, and confirm bookings.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and reception area.
- Assist guests with special requests or seating preferences whenever possible.
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
- Monitor dining room activities to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints professionally and courteously.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
- Assist with light cleaning duties and table setup during peak and off-peak hours.
- Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all patrons and staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tables.
