Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular stock takes, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances promptly.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize spoilage/waste.
- Place orders with approved suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Manage storage facilities, ensuring proper organization, rotation (FIFO), and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics, cost analysis, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to forecast demand and adjust procurement strategies effectively.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to purchasing and inventory management.
- Train kitchen staff on proper inventory handling and storage protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
