Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food items, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as directed by kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are spotless and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Support line cooks and chefs during service by retrieving ingredients, stocking stations, and managing waste.
- Receive and properly store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools by hand or using dishwashing machines.
- Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately throughout shifts.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned to support the team and ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene standards.
