Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, floors, and storage units.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, and other tools safely and efficiently.
- Wash and sterilize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans throughout service and at closing.
- Properly store food items and supplies, ensuring correct rotation and labeling to minimize waste.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, verifying quantities and quality of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen management.
