Key Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare a variety of vegetables, fruits, and meats according to recipe specifications and chef instructions.
- Assist in portioning and packaging ingredients for daily service, ensuring accuracy and minimal waste.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area, including utensils, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment, throughout the shift.
- Receive and properly store food deliveries, rotating stock to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety guidelines (FIFO method).
- Support the culinary team with basic cooking tasks, such as boiling, simmering, or blanching ingredients.
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly and assist with end-of-day cleaning duties.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
