Job Description

Leribe Lodge in Mpharane, Leribe, is immediately seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Server to join our vibrant team. As a Restaurant Server, you will be the face of our dining experience, responsible for ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and completely satisfied with their meal and service. Your role will involve warmly greeting guests, guiding them through our menu with confidence and extensive knowledge, taking accurate food and beverage orders, and serving dishes with efficiency and grace. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them in the dining area.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with a friendly and proactive approach.
- Process payments and operate cash registers accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and active listening.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling payments and making change.
- A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) as a server or in a similar customer service role.
- Knowledge of local cuisine and beverages.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in Sesotho and English.
