Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering detailed information on daily specials, ingredients, and preparations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, utilizing point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to all inquiries and requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure seamless service.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as restaurant policies and procedures.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for service.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation and a passion for guest satisfaction.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift/carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and splitting bills accurately.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the industry.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Legally eligible to work in Quebec and serve alcohol (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingualism (French and English) is considered a significant asset.
