Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests, managing reservations and walk-ins efficiently.
- Present menus, articulate daily specials, and offer informed recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, promptly addressing any concerns or requests.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant.
- Process payments accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash or card transactions.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down dining areas.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service attendants to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling orders and processing payments.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- A positive, energetic attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality service role.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Square, Lightspeed, Toast).
- Valid FoodSafe or equivalent food handling certification.
- Ability to communicate in French or other languages is an asset.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
