Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Store all items properly and systematically in designated storage areas (dry storage, refrigerators, freezers) following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts and issuances, using manual or digital systems.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records to identify and investigate variances.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and security of all storage areas at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock to management for timely reordering.
  • Issue supplies to various restaurant departments based on requisitions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist in the identification and disposal of expired or damaged goods in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to anticipate future stock needs and minimize waste.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory tracking.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Basic computer literacy (for inventory management systems).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OND/HND in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
