Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Store all items properly and systematically in designated storage areas (dry storage, refrigerators, freezers) following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts and issuances, using manual or digital systems.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records to identify and investigate variances.
- Ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and security of all storage areas at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock to management for timely reordering.
- Issue supplies to various restaurant departments based on requisitions and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in the identification and disposal of expired or damaged goods in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to anticipate future stock needs and minimize waste.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory tracking.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items.
