Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our vibrant team in Ancuabe, Cabo Delgado Province. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to operational standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by actively engaging with customers, addressing feedback, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with established standards and guest expectations.
  • Oversee inventory management for front-of-house supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and flow of service during peak hours.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, shift assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Handle cash transactions, manage end-of-day reports, and ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in various administrative tasks and strategic initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese (written and spoken).
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Fluency in English or other local languages relevant to the region.
  • Experience with fine dining establishments or high-volume restaurants.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene.
