Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival and seat them appropriately.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, using a POS system, and relay them to the kitchen/bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, address any concerns or requests promptly, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
- Clear tables, reset them efficiently for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a reputable restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including basic wine pairings.
- Fluency in both Sesotho and English.
