Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and daily specials.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, utilizing a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to restaurant standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond to inquiries or requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Process guest payments efficiently and accurately, handling cash and card transactions.
- Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and bussed promptly after guests depart.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards of the restaurant.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant setting (at least 6 months).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling bills and processing payments.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team-oriented mindset.
