Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods securely and correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and tidy checkout area.
- Scan products, ensuring correct pricing and applying discounts or promotions as applicable.
- Bag groceries and merchandise with care, considering product fragility and customer preference.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and security.
- Assist with restocking shelves or other general store duties during quieter periods, as needed.
- Promote store loyalty programs or special offers to customers.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
