Beyond customer interaction, this role involves keeping the store environment clean, tidy, and organized, including aisles, checkout areas, and storage spaces, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, provide attentive assistance with product inquiries, locating items, and offering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Accurately operate cash registers, handle various payment methods (cash, credit, debit), and process returns/exchanges according to company policy.
- Maintain well-stocked and neatly organized shelves, ensuring proper product rotation, clear pricing, and attractive merchandising.
- Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies, and assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing new merchandise efficiently.
- Ensure the store environment, including sales floor, aisles, and checkout counters, remains clean, tidy, and safe for customers and staff.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, hygiene, and age-restricted sales.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth daily store operations and foster a positive work atmosphere.
- Assist with the implementation of special promotions, sales events, and visual merchandising updates as required.
- Provide support in preparing the store for opening and closing, including routine cleaning and security checks.
- Contribute to problem-solving and assist in resolving customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
Required Skills

- Solid basic mathematical aptitude for accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry moderate weights (up to 20kg) comfortably.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by retail schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (e.g., 6-12 months) in a retail, customer service, or similar front-facing role is an advantage.
- Completed high school education or equivalent (e.g., LGCSE).
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer literacy.
- Fluency in both Sesotho and English to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
