As a Retail Floor Assistant, you will be the face of Sefalana Lesotho, directly interacting with customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a welcoming and tidy store atmosphere. Your responsibilities will span across various critical areas, from managing product displays and stock replenishment to handling transactions at the point of sale and maintaining impeccable store standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products, offering recommendations, and answering inquiries.
  • Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash and card transactions.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with receiving new inventory, and perform regular shelf replenishment to ensure products are readily available.
  • Arrange and maintain attractive product displays, ensuring merchandise is neatly organized, priced correctly, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the sales floor, shelving units, and checkout areas to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock takes as required.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and security.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and provide mutual support.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and counting change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • Proficiency in Sesotho and English.
  • Residency in Sehlaba-Thebe or surrounding Qacha’s Nek areas.
