Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor store staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and ensure accurate receiving and dispatching of goods.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store cleanliness, and product presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction.
- Assist in achieving sales targets, implementing promotional activities, and minimizing shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily reports on sales, staff performance, and operational issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a retail environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management and basic retail software/POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant certificate or diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced supermarket or grocery store environment.
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and customer preferences in Lesotho.
- Proficiency in Sesotho and English.
