Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product location, inquiries, and purchases.
- Efficiently stock shelves, ensuring products are well-organized, neatly displayed, and correctly priced.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, including cash, card, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe shopping environment, including aisles, display areas, and back-of-house.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, checking stock, and reporting discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals and ensure smooth store functioning.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift and move merchandise (up to 20kg)
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling and inventory counts
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is an advantage
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
