Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient access, charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track revenue cycle efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and analyze trends in denials, rejections, and underpayments, developing strategies to mitigate future occurrences.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer-specific requirements.
- Lead and mentor a remote team of revenue cycle specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, provide expert guidance, and implement customized revenue cycle solutions.
- Utilize advanced analytics to uncover opportunities for revenue enhancement and operational cost reduction.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on revenue cycle performance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry changes, technological advancements, and regulatory updates impacting the healthcare revenue cycle.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and claims processing.
- Proven experience with various payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, workers' compensation).
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in healthcare practice management systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field.
