Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Riding Instructor to join our vibrant equestrian team in Connewitz, Leipzig. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced instructor who genuinely loves horses and is committed to fostering a safe, educational, and enjoyable riding experience for students of all ages and skill levels. As a Riding Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing riders’ skills, confidence, and understanding of horsemanship, from basic care to advanced riding techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging and safe riding lessons for individuals and small groups, catering to various skill levels from beginner to advanced.
  • Assess student abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lesson plans accordingly.
  • Ensure the safety of all riders and horses, strictly adhering to established safety protocols and maintaining a secure riding environment.
  • Educate students on proper horse care, handling, grooming, and stable management practices.
  • Maintain the well-being and fitness of assigned lesson horses, including tacking up, untacking, and basic health checks.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow team members regarding lesson schedules, progress, and any concerns.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of equestrian events, clinics, or camps as required.
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and lesson plans.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a riding instructor with a strong safety record.
  • Excellent horsemanship skills and in-depth knowledge of horse behavior and welfare.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach various riding disciplines (e.g., English, Western, Dressage, Jumping).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and guiding students of all ages.
  • Valid first aid certification (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
  • Proficiency in German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognized riding instructor certification from a reputable equestrian organization (e.g., FN Trainer C, B, A).
  • Experience working with children and young adults.
  • Background in competitive riding or horsemanship.
  • Knowledge of equine first aid and basic veterinary care.
